Karen Lennon, iLight Technologies, was featured in the August 29th edition of Crain’s Chicago Business in an article about entrepreneurs who cash in. As a result of a press inquiry that came into the NAWBO office, Karen was interviewed for an anecdotal story in about women who have sold their businesses and what they have done with the influx of liquid assets from the sale. Karen has recently been appointed as the Chair-elect & President to Hubbard Street Dance Board of Directors.

Vicki Kunkel, Presentation Makers, had multiple media appearances in June related to the Michael Jackson trial, including The Jim Bohannon Show, KOA Clear Channel, KDKA in Pittsburgh, AP Network News, WLW in Cincinnati and an appearance on ABC News. Vicki was also interviewed about the change in corporate structures post-Enron by the AP Network News and about Martha Stewart.

Jonamay Lambert, president and founder of Lambert & Associates, Inc., spoke last month at The Chicago Council on Urban Affairs (CCUA) Annual Meeting. Her presentation was part of a featured discussion entitled “Tales from the Frontline of Women in Leadership” as part of CCUA’s Women of the Millennium forum, a continued dialogue about the future of the women’s movement in a multicultural community.

Lori Kleiman, HR Partners, was quoted in an article in the September 19, Chicago Tribune article by Ann Meyer. The article discusses using interns in small businesses.

Cynthia Ivie, White Space, was in New York City for the New York Times /OPEN from American Express sponsored Small Business Summit in September moderating a panel on “Managing Cash Flow; The Art of Paying and Getting Paid.” Cynthia also appeared on FOX News, on the morning show Fox & Friends, featuring an in-studio interview and film of White Space organizing the office of Brian Kilmeade, one of the shows anchors.

Sue Kramer, Peace of Mind Virtual Assistance, was featured on Naperville Community Television’s (NCTV Channel 17) Business Connections segment on August 3rd. She spoke about the Virtual Assistant Industry, her involvement with the International Virtual Assistants Association as well as other associations she belongs to, including NAWBO.

Linda Gordon, CLU, ChFC, The Principal Financial Group, successfully completed the IRA Leadership Program TM, an intensive IRA training program developed by America ’s IRA Expert, Ed Slott, CPA. Gordon is now available to help guide investors through the rules and develop strategies to help protect their hard-earned money.

Carleen Schreder and the partners of Levin & Schreder Ltd. were invited to be profiled in Chicago Magazine's "Best of Chicago" issue, published in August 2005. The firm was highlighted in a special feature devoted to" Chicago 's Top Law Firms", a copy of which is posted on the firm's website: www.levinschreder.com.

Kara E. F. Cenar, principal of Welsh & Katz Ltd. can be heard during September, on American Airlines business audio program “America’s Most Influential Women,” speaking on Strong Brands.
